Sikorsky has introduced the Nomad family of drones, which are described as autonomous, long-endurance, and runway-independent. The drones are also characterized as vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicles, with some outlets noting they are scalable or have a "rotor blown wing" design, and at least one describing them as hybrid-electric. Group 3 flight tests for the Nomad drones are reportedly set to begin in the coming months.
