Research using single-molecule imaging has shed light on the mechanisms of G-quadruplex-resolving helicases. Studies have investigated the dynamics of various helicases, including WRN, RecQ, BLM, and others, in relation to G-quadruplex unwinding and processing. The findings suggest that different helicases may share common mechanisms or exhibit distinct characteristics in their interactions with G-quadruplex structures.
