SpaceX has launched an italian earth observation satellite, cosmo-skymed, into orbit. The launch is reported to be the first mission of 2026 for spacex and the third cosmo-skymed second generation satellite for italy. The satellite was launched from vandenberg space force base in california, although one outlet had previously suggested the launch would occur at the end of the year.
