Spain has announced a $5.8 billion support package to mitigate the effects of the Iran war on its economy. The package, referred to as a "Social Shield", aims to counter the impact of rising energy prices. Other countries, including those in the EU and elsewhere, are also taking measures to shield households from increasing energy costs.
