Research suggests that human sexual dimorphism is largely influenced by sexual selection on males and natural selection on females. Studies have examined the relationship between morphological traits and fertility in women, as well as the role of sexually selected traits in sexual behavior among young people. The findings indicate that different evolutionary pressures may be driving the development of physical and behavioral characteristics in men and women.
