Research on acute myeloid leukemia has identified a potential therapeutic vulnerability related to the function of leukemia stem cells. The role of surface CD81 in supporting these cells has been explored, and separate studies have investigated other aspects of leukemia, including resistance to certain treatments and the potential for predictive blood tests. However, it is unclear how these various findings are directly related, as some reports appear to address different topics altogether.
