The indian government has released ₹18,880 crore in the 23rd installment of the pm-kisan program. This payout is reportedly going to approximately 9.44 crore farmers, with some outlets specifying that ₹4,352 crore is being allocated to over 2.17 crore farmers in uttar pradesh. The release of funds may have also coincided with the launch of a crop insurance program in west bengal.
