The prime minister performed Rudrabhisek worship and paid homage to Pashupatinath. A large number of devotees have been visiting Pashupatinath, with significant crowds reported on Mondays during the month of Shrawan and on Shivaratri. There was also a reported suspicious death of a youth at Pashupatinath, with an ascetic under investigation.
