Authorities have rescued 16 children from a home in southern Ohio, where they were found living in what has been described as "deplorable conditions" and "squalor". The children, who reportedly appeared "almost feral", had been confined to the home, with one report suggesting they were kept in one room for four years. The parents and grandparents have been charged in connection with the case, which has been characterized as "pure evil" and "beyond comprehension".
