The Pekin and Hollis school districts have added electric buses to their fleets, with some of the buses featuring vehicle-to-grid technology. The buses are part of a partnership that includes the first commercial application of this technology in north america. The number of electric buses being added to the districts is not consistent across reports, but it is known that Peoria Public Schools is set to receive 15 electric buses.
