Philips has launched a trial to study the use of ultra-low x-ray doses in coronary procedures. The trial, referred to as the RADIQAL trial, will test the company's SmartIQ imaging technology, which is designed to address the trade-off between image quality and radiation dose. The technology is intended for use with Philips' Azurion image-guided therapy system.
