Researchers are exploring the design of asymmetrical selenium-based dual-atom sites for efficient oxygen reduction. The development of dual-atom catalysts is also being investigated for various other applications, including de/hydrogenation and thermochemical CO2 reduction. The synthesis and properties of these catalysts are being studied through different methods, including rational synthesis and selenization.
