Productivity has increased more quickly than greenness across the Tibetan Plateau. There are also reports of inconsistent vegetation growth in terms of greenness, cover, and productivity in nearly half of the world's vegetated areas. The relationship between vegetation greenness and other factors, such as urbanization, is being studied using new methods.
