A method for planning public security patrol paths using a wolf-pack optimization algorithm has been developed. However, it is unclear if this method is related to other approaches, such as a police UAV path planning method or studies on public safety staffing and border security policy. The connection between these different initiatives and their potential impact on public safety is not immediately clear.
