Researchers have made advancements in quantum error correction using silicon spin qubits. Imec and Diraq have reportedly demonstrated the operation of an eight-qubit array, with some outlets specifying that this is a CMOS-manufactured silicon spin qubit array. The origin of noise in spin qubit quantum processors has also been identified, and a calibration-free protocol has been developed to achieve exponential quantum noise suppression.
