Rapid whole genome sequencing has been found to yield genetic diagnoses in hospitalized adults with unexplained neurologic disease. However, reports also mention its application and effectiveness in other areas, including infant epilepsy, critically ill infants, and rare pediatric diseases. The use of genome sequencing appears to have various diagnostic yields and clinical utilities across different patient groups and conditions.
