The eclipse was also expected to be visible in other parts of the world, although it is unclear if it was a partial solar eclipse or a total eclipse in all locations. Reports also mention a "blood moon" total eclipse, but it is uncertain if this occurred in conjunction with the ring of fire eclipse.
