Researchers have identified 95 sociotechnical barriers to the decarbonization of buildings. These barriers are being studied in various contexts, including the construction sector in Egypt. Two new studies have also reportedly revealed 50 risks that are slowing decarbonization in the building sector, although the specifics of these risks and barriers are not detailed.
