Research has shed light on the relationship between high-frequency radiation and asperity ruptures, with studies suggesting that fault heterogeneity and complexity play a role in earthquake behavior. The dynamics of rupture behaviors and faulting processes are being explored through various methods, including hybrid back-projection and seismo-geodetic dynamic inversion. Findings from different earthquakes and locations indicate that heterogeneous strong asperities and tectonic complexity can influence rupture behaviors, but the specifics of these relationships are still being investigated.
