Ripple has launched its RLUSD stablecoin in Japan, a move that appears to have followed regulatory approval. The launch is reportedly part of an effort to target payments and tokenization in the Japanese market, and is being undertaken in partnership with SBI. Other companies, including Circle and Nomura, are also said to be joining the stablecoin market.
