A russian tanker, the marinera, has been seized and is now heading to the us. The circumstances of the seizure are unclear, with reports indicating it was taken near iceland, in the north sea, or in a location where it was boarded by the us, and also suggesting involvement of other countries such as belgium. The tanker is reported to have been in scotland's moray firth before beginning its journey across the atlantic.
