A group of monks is on a journey to Washington D.C., with recent stops in Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina, where they were met by an estimated large crowd in Columbia. The monks, who are on a "Walk for Peace", have been followed by thousands on social media and have received honors from the city and state during a visit to the State House. Their journey has not been without challenges, as some of the monks have reportedly suffered injuries.
