Scientists have used artificial intelligence to design viruses, which have been shown to replicate and kill bacteria. The AI-designed viruses have been used to target antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and have been successful in doing so. There is also mention of an AI-designed universal coronavirus vaccine, which has reportedly passed its first human trial, although its connection to the AI-designed viruses is unclear.
