Studies have focused on different regions, including Iran, South Africa, India, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, and Egypt, examining issues such as nitrate and metal pollution in groundwater and surface waters. The analyses have assessed the associated human health risks, with some studies utilizing techniques like Monte Carlo risk modeling and automated machine learning for water quality prediction.
