A cosmic serpent of dust has been captured in an image, with the james webb space telescope involved in the observation. The image also reveals wood grain-like patterns, which may indicate 3D structures of interstellar material. Another telescope, VISTA, is also reported to have captured an image of a cosmic serpent, though it is unclear if this is the same observation as the one made with the james webb space telescope.
