The West Volusia Audubon Society and Stetson University are partnering to protect birds. Other Audubon societies are also engaging in conservation efforts, although it is unclear if these are related to the West Volusia partnership. Stetson University is involved in various environmental projects, including a grant for a beautification project and educational initiatives at its Bartram Gardens & Trail.
