Eli Lilly has taken steps to make its weight loss drug Zepbound more accessible, including cutting its cash price and launching a program for employers to subsidize the cost outside of insurance. The company has also partnered with Walmart Pharmacy to offer a direct-to-consumer priced option for pickup at retail locations. Additionally, some Medicare beneficiaries may be able to obtain Zepbound and similar drugs, such as Ozempic and Wegovy, at a lower cost, potentially as low as $50 a month.
