The UK Biobank has had the whole genomes of approximately 500,000 participants sequenced. This large-scale sequencing effort has enabled the discovery of rare genetic variants and uncovered links between noncoding genes and disease. The data has also been used to study various conditions, including neurodegeneration and osteogenesis imperfecta, although the specific findings and implications are not entirely clear.
