A widely used farm chemical has been linked to more than double the risk of developing Parkinson's disease. The chemical, identified as paraquat, is also suspected of causing hidden brain damage. Some US states, such as Vermont, are taking steps to ban the herbicide, while lawsuits and settlements related to its use are reportedly underway.
