Researchers are studying the properties of wurtzite AlGaAs nanowires, including their bandgap transition and spin-orbit coupling. Some studies have focused on the effects of uniaxial stress and core-shell structures on these properties. The nanowires have also been found to exhibit lasing capabilities at room temperature.
