Toyota is developing a fake manual transmission for electric vehicles that can simulate a stall if not driven properly. The feature, which includes a clutch pedal, is intended to mimic the experience of driving a traditional manual transmission vehicle. It is unclear if the technology will be exclusive to Toyota, as another automaker, Subaru, has also been reported to be working on a similar concept.
