Research is being conducted on the spatial and temporal patterns of traditional village distribution in various regions of China, including Xiangxi, Zhejiang Province, and the Huaihe River Basin. Studies are also examining traditional villages in other areas, such as Xinjiang, Suzhou, Yunnan, Shandong Province, and Peninsular Malaysia. The focus of these studies includes identifying influential factors and conservation significance, as well as exploring the potential for tourism development and cultural heritage preservation.
