Energy Fuels is reportedly acquiring a german magnet maker, VAC, in a deal valued at $1.9 billion, although one outlet reports the deal as worth $1 billion. The acquisition is intended to help build a mine-to-magnet supply chain. Another US rare earth magnet maker, Evolution, has secured a supply of rare earth materials from Vietnam to expand its production.
