Research is investigating the mental health effects of GLP-1 drugs, such as Ozempic, with some studies suggesting potential links to reduced depression, anxiety, and addiction risk, as well as decreased violent behavior. However, other reports indicate that these medications may also be associated with concerns about emotional dulling and a condition referred to as "Ozempic personality," characterized by feelings of apathy. The impact of GLP-1 drugs on mental health appears to be complex and not yet fully understood.
