The US Brig Niagara, a historic ship from the War of 1812, has returned to Erie after a year-long restoration. The ship's return is part of Independence Day weekend celebrations in the area. It is not clear if the ship has made additional stops, such as in Clayton, as part of its journey home to Lake Erie.
