A promise of care and remembrance is being reported in different contexts. In one, dutch families have been tending to us wwii graves for many years, while in another, the concept of a "forever promise" is being questioned in relation to the treatment of children in institutions. The term "forever promise" is also being used to describe a potentially lengthy conflict.
