A new model, the Six Delays Model, has been introduced, expanding on the existing three delays model with evidence from Madagascar related to maternal referrals in low- and middle-income countries. However, it appears that this story is being overshadowed by unrelated reports of various delays in other fields, including transportation, sports, and healthcare. The relevance of these other delays to the Six Delays Model is unclear.
