A new atlas, known as the Tabula Sapiens, has been created to map human cells across multiple organs. This atlas is part of a broader effort to understand human cell biology, including aging and tissue composition, and is related to other studies such as the Human Cell Aging Transcriptome Atlas and the Human Breast Cell Atlas. The atlas and related research are already providing new insights into human biology, including cell population dynamics and macrophage heterogeneity.
