A registry trick was found to unlock a performance-boosting native NVMe driver on Windows 11, potentially giving SSDs a significant speed boost. However, Microsoft has blocked this trick, although workarounds may still be available to enable the feature. The effectiveness of the trick and its potential performance gains are reported, with some tests showing up to 85% higher random workload performance.
