A commercial-scale facility for producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) from captured CO2 has been opened by Twelve in the US. The facility, known as AirPlant One, is reportedly the first of its kind in America and is located in the state of Washington. The opening of this plant may be seen as a development in the production of e-SAF, although some reports suggest that overall SAF production volumes remain low.
