Flooding caused by Typhoon Maysak has resulted in the escape of a large number of snakes, possibly nearly 900, in southern China. The snakes, which include venomous species such as cobras, were reportedly from a breeding farm. The flooding has also caused deaths and other damage in the region, with the full extent of the impact not entirely clear.
