Researchers have found that speckle intensity correlations are universally sensitive to wavefront changes in light diffusers. This discovery may be related to the development of a technique called intensity correlation scan (IC-scan) for characterizing optical nonlinearities in scattering media. The IC-scan technique appears to be a method for analyzing these properties.
