The Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents has approved a modest tuition increase that is below the rate of inflation. The board has also taken other actions, including approving a new name for the Menomonie campus, now known as the University of Wisconsin–Stout Polytechnic, and initiating a search for a new system president. Additionally, there have been changes in leadership, with a new chancellor named at UW-Stevens Point and a presidential search committee formed.
