Vaccine development is underway for various mosquito-borne viral diseases. Efforts to create vaccines for diseases such as chikungunya, dengue fever, and possibly zika virus are being reported, with some projects, like the ACT-CHIK project, specifically focused on accelerating vaccine development in Africa. The work on these vaccines is part of a broader response to the growing threat posed by mosquito-borne diseases.
