A university student from the Chicago suburbs, James Gracey, went missing while visiting friends in Barcelona, Spain, during a spring break trip. The student, who attended the University of Alabama, was later found dead in the sea near Barcelona. The incident occurred while many pilgrims were visiting the area, possibly including those on the Camino de Santiago.
