A combination treatment including zanzalintinib has been reported to improve survival in patients with pretreated metastatic colorectal cancer. The treatment, which also includes atezolizumab, has had its new drug application accepted by the FDA. However, there is also a report of a different treatment, fruquintinib, improving survival in refractory metastatic colorectal cancer, creating some uncertainty about the specific treatment being referenced.
