SPT Labtech has introduced the firefly compact, an all-in-one liquid handling system for automated next-generation sequencing library preparation. The company has partnered with several organizations, including 10x Genomics and Twist Bioscience, to automate various genomics workflows on the firefly platform. The firefly system has also been qualified by Illumina for use with their DNA prep methods, and is being showcased as part of automation-first genomics workflows and drug discovery integration efforts.
