Syphilis appears to be experiencing a resurgence. General practitioners are being targeted with campaigns and provided with new clinical tools to improve their management of the disease. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners is involved in efforts to address syphilis, as well as other health issues, including blood donation rules and possibly other infectious diseases.
