The Tianwen 2 space probe has reached its target asteroid after a lengthy flight. The probe has begun scientific exploration and has photographed an object referred to as earth's quasi-moon, with some reports specifying the asteroid as Kamo'oalewa or 2016HO3. The distance from the probe to the asteroid is reported to be as close as 20 kilometers.
