An experiment is underway to test the use of drones equipped with automated external defibrillators to respond to cardiac arrest emergencies. The goal of the experiment is to potentially save lives by delivering life-saving defibrillators to 911 calls. Drones may help narrow emergency response times and provide timely treatment for out-of-hospital cardiac arrests.
